It has 213 liters of volume which makes it the perfect platform for beginning riders on waves and flat water, and it is great for practicing yoga too. You’ll be able to ride the smallest of waves easily with this board.

The extra-durable construction will keep rental fleet owners happy for many years.

The M-14 downwinder is a specialty board designed for down-wind riding on flat water or large swells.

This board picks up the smallest bumps and the rocker lets the board glide smoothly down the wave face without sticking the nose. It’s quite capable as a flat-water board too, so even if there are no wind or waves it is a great all-round board.  It is super-fast and easy to paddle too!

Length: 14′

Width: 28″

Thickness: 6.3″

Colours: Red, Orange, Blue

Jimmy’s 12′ Bombora was originally designed as a big wave gun, but it turns out that it is a very fast all-round board on flat water too! All the Bombora boards are over-built to withstand crashing in the largest surf.

This board is great for light weight paddlers on flat water and is great for women who don’t need a lot of volume.

The Son of Bombora and Baby Bomb are smaller versions of their big brother and will satisfy all the big wave riders out there!

Bombora: 12′ x 27.5″ Volume: 165 litres

Son of Bombora: 10’6 X 28 1/2″ 135 liters

Baby Bomb: 10′ X 28″ 125 liters

The Hanalei surf series standup boards are specifically for riding waves and the larger sizes are also fun and surprisingly fast on flat water. The clean lines of this shape allows hard-carving on the biggest waves but you can have a lot of fun even when there are no waves in sight!

Comes set up with thruster fins and an 8″ center fin.

Heavier paddlers will float easily on the 10’8 or 11’2 and lighter, or experienced surfers will choose the smaller sizes.

The new Searcher is a fast and stable board designed for touring lakes and rivers. The wide beam and flat bottom makes this board easy to ride no matter what the conditions are and the rounded rails are designed for long-distance speed.

A sharp nose breaks up the chop and it handles boat wakes and swells like they’re not even there!

The tie-downs on the deck (not shown) allow you to stow all the gear you need for a day or a full week’s adventure and as with all Jimmy’s boards, the Signature construction is super-light and extra strong.

Available in Ice Blue, or Orange (not exactly as shown).

Length: 12’6″

Width: 33 1/2″

Volume: 363 liters

The Blade II is Jimmy’s latest race board design and is designed to be the fastest board in it’s class. Its flat bottom and sharp nose makes the board as easy to ride as it is fast. The prototypes are already proven winners on the race course and it will be one of the fastest boards across your lake and back!

The extremely light-weight hull features Jimmy’s signature construction for incredible durability and strength.

Size: 12’6 X 28″

Volume: 280 Liters

The original Blade is a dedicated raceboard designed specifically for flat or choppy water.

It is one of the easiest 12’6 boards on the  water to paddle and is super-stable even for beginning paddlers.

A very sharp bow knifes through chop and a double-concave mid section provides speed and extra stability. The tail exits sharply for clean water release and the standing area of the deck is recessed substantially, giving the board extra stability.

This board actually gets more stable as it tips which inspires confidence in choppy water and boat wakes. You’ll paddle like a pro the first time on board and you’ll never outgrow it!

Volume: 230 liters

Width: 29″

Click here for a review of the Blade from supadvisorblog.com

For riding flat water with uncompromising speed, also check out the Slice and the 14′ Sabre

Lee’s Performance Tip:

To get the best speed out of the Blade in flat water, stand with your feet just ahead of the handle so the nose is just barely out of the water, or goes under from time to time.  Lighter people will stand close to the front of the deck pad, and heavier people will stand farther back. In choppy conditions, you will move back a bit to keep the nose out of the water.

Jimmy’s 12’6 Slice is a sleek displacement hull with lots of vee in the nose to break up the nastiest chop and a flatter mid-section for speed and stability. The edges are very round from front to back for maximum speed and minimum drag.

It’s as capable in monster swells as it is on flat water if you’re an experienced paddler. It catches waves easily so you can ride the bumps for long periods. For a true down-wind board, check out the Mission.

The slightly recessed standing area keeps the center of gravity low for a fast and comfortable ride.

It has great speed for touring long distances and if you want to race, this is one of the fastest out there. For a dedicated flat-water race board, check out the Blade II

Only master shaper Jimmy Lewis could shape a board with such clean lines and refined curves as seen on this board – its lines are pure beauty and the performance matches its looks — super hot!

Rider ability: Intermediate to advanced (lightweight or aggressive beginners will enjoy this shape).

For other fast boards in Jimmy’s lineup, check out the Mission, the Blade II or the Sabre 14 for ultimate speed on flat water.

Rider weight: All

Dimensions: 12’6 X 30″

Inserts are installed in the deck for a standard bicycle water bottle holder (available at any bike shop).

Click here for a review from Supadvisorblog.com

Lee’s performance tip:

To get the best speed out of the Slice, stand with your toes close to the front of the deck pad so that the entire length of the board is in the water and the nose is “just” out of the water, or goes under from time to time. For more stability, you can move back a little so that your feet are beside the carry-handle slot. In waves, of course, you’ll move into a surf stance and step farther back to let the board glide without catching the nose.

The Jimmy Lewis Mission (formerly “Albatross”) long-distance board was created for paddlers who are looking for a fast board that is very stable and easy to paddle.

It is easy for anyone to ride — step on and paddle away like a pro even if you’re a total beginner!

It tracks very straight making it possible to paddle many strokes before switching sides. It’s one of Jimmy’s most popular shapes for recreational flat water paddlers and is at home on any lake or river, and especially, the open ocean.

The volume distribution and bottom shape makes this board ultra-stable even in cross chop and boat wakes. The nose rocker lets the board glide smoothly over swells in down-wind runs and the hard rails in the tail let the board plane on the smallest wave. You can surf waves on this board (in a straight line), and make long, drawn-out turns, but it’s not designed for quick turns on the wave. See the Cruise Control, or the Hanalei for true surfing boards.

Riders of all weights and skill levels will feel comfortable on this board. If you’re looking for an advanced race board, check out the  Slice, the Blade II, or the 14′ Sabre

12’6″ x 29 1/4″ x 5″ thick

Volume 235 liters

Rider ability: Beginner to advanced.

Inserts are installed in the deck so you can add a bungee tie-down system to stow your gear for those long missions (not shown).

Lee’s Mission Performance Tip:

For maximum speed on flat water, stand with your feet at the very front of the deck-pad (I curl my toes over the front). For more stability, you can move back a little bit from there. If you’re riding a swell, move way back to keep you speed up once you catch the wave.

Did I mention that I love this board? If I had only one board available to me, this is the one I’d pick. When I travel to unknown locations, I always bring the Mission because I know it will work in any water conditions — glassy flat water, choppy rivers with boat wakes, or huge lake or ocean swells.

Here’s a shot from Facebook of a Mission sharing a wave with a Striker.

The Sabre is designed to dominate the 14′ stock racing class and it’s going to be the first board across the lake even if you don’t race!

Covering long distances is almost effortless on this thoroughbred model and it’s shaped for uncompromising speed. It’s magically light, and as with all other Jimmy Lewis boards, it’s built to last.

The rounded bottom, sharp nose, and clean tail shape allow the board to glide through the water with what seems like no resistance. Every paddle stroke propels you farther than you’d ever thought possible and you’ll be smiling during your entire trip!

Suitable for athletic beginners all the way to expert-level paddlers.

Dimensions: 14′ X 27″

Weight: 12.3 kg (27.2 lbs).

Colours: Orange, Red, Gray

Fin: Tracker 8″

Lee’s Performance Tip:

I find that the Sabre likes to have her nose as low in the water as possible, so stand with your heels at the front of the carry handle slot, but not too far forward. In chop, you can move back a bit to free up the nose. You’ll be amazed at how many strokes you can get before switching sides with the Sabre. She’s one fast board!

The “Cruise Control” is the one board that will do everything you ask of it.

Flat water? No problem. It paddles quickly and is amazingly stable even in choppy conditions.

Got waves? Perfect! The soft edges and ample bottom curve (rocker) allows you to ride and carve turns on waves as small as knee high. Big waves? It will stay in control even in larger surf and you’ll feel like you’ve been surfing all your life!

You will paddle like a pro the first time you ride it and it will keep you smiling for years and years.

The finish on all of Jimmy’s boards is incredibly durable and each one is meticulously hand-polished and flawless — almost too nice to use!

Which size?

The 11’6 is a popular board for heavier riders and for beginners and rental fleets, while the 11′ and 10’6 boards are for regular, to light weight paddlers. For smaller women and kids, the 9’10 is a perfect choice. If in doubt, go with the 11′er which will easily float people up to 220 lbs.

The Cruise Control is a timeless standup classic and one of the best selling board designs in the world!

Don’t be fooled by the extreme light weight of Jimmy’s boards. They are built using the finest materials and techniques and no expense is spared in making them the toughest high-performance boards on the water.

9’10 X 27.25″

10’6 X 28.75″

11′ X 30″

11’6 X 32″
